Treatment of medium varicose veins (spider veins) and spider veins Medium varicose veins and spider veins can be effectively treated with lasers with a wavelength of approximately 1400 nm. The energy passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment of the red blood cells in the veins, thermally sealing the vessels. The body then eliminates these veins through the lymphatic system over several weeks. Different wavelengths are used for different colors. This laser can also treat acne scars or other skin lesions, but should not be used concurrently with isotretinoin (Accutane) treatment due to increased light sensitivity.

Practical information
Frequency, duration and monitoring of treatments
The number of sessions depends on the area, the type of treatment, and your skin. Generally, expect 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Results appear as early as 2 weeks after treatment, with continued improvement for several months.
The effects are long-lasting, often visible for several years.
