Medium varicose veins (varicosities) and spider veins can be treated effectively with laser wavelengths around 1400 nm. This energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the red blood cell pigment in the veins, sealing the vessels thermally. The body then gradually absorbs the treated veins via the lymphatic system over several weeks. These treatments are commonly performed on the legs, face, or décolleté and can be combined with or without sclerotherapy injections for best results.
